Alarm

Online alarm clock

10:08 PM

Repeat

Keep this tab open and your device on, with sound. With the phone locked or the browser closed, the alarm won’t ring.

Your alarms

No alarms yet. The alarms you create are saved in this browser.

Pick a time, add a label and tap Add alarm. The alarm rings in this browser, even with the tab in the background, as long as it stays open.

How to use the online alarm clock

Choose the alarm time and, if you like, a label ("Medicine", "Meeting"). To repeat it, check the days of the week; with no days checked, it rings once and then turns off.

Choose the sound and volume and tap Test sound to hear it first. At the set time, the sound repeats until you tap Stop or Snooze, which delays the alarm by 5, 10 or 15 minutes.

You can set several alarms at once and turn each one on or off. They’re saved in this browser: when you come back, they’re still there.

Turn on notifications to get a system alert when the alarm rings, handy if you’re in another tab or window. The alarm works while this tab is open and the device is on; a locked phone or a closed browser stops it from ringing. For important appointments, also use your phone’s alarm.

    Frequently asked questions

Does the alarm ring when the tab is in the background?

Yes. The alarm uses a separate browser process (Web Worker) so it isn’t paused when you switch tabs. The tab must stay open and your computer or phone on and unlocked.

Does the alarm ring when my phone is locked?

On most phones, no: locking the screen pauses the browser. Keep the screen on (in full screen the site asks it not to sleep) or use your phone’s own alarm.

    How does snooze work?

When the alarm rings, tap Snooze: it stops and rings again after 5, 10 or 15 minutes, depending on your setting. You can snooze as many times as you want.

    Are my alarms saved?

Yes, in your browser (local storage). There’s no sign-up and nothing is sent to our server. If you clear your browser data or use a private window, the alarms are gone.

Why didn’t the alarm make a sound?

Check your device volume and that the tab isn’t muted. Browsers only allow sound after the first tap or click on the page: creating the alarm already unlocks it.
